Dreams can sometimes be wet, bizarre, scary, crazy, funny or lacrimal. Sometimes we attack, sometimes we're attacked, sometimes we fight, sometimes we run, we fall, we fly, sometimes we are in wonderland, sometimes we find ourselves underwater, sometimes we catch our breath, sometimes we nearly lost it and then suddenly - we wake up to find we were just dreaming, and continue panting and grasping for breath outside of our dream proper. And thats what is called a nightmare.
Dr. Sigmund Freud, the foremost authority on dreams, insisted that dreams are a form of fulfilling suppressed wishes. If a wish (likely to be sexual in origin) goes unsatisfied during the dreamer's normal day, the mind reacts to this "internal stimuli" by transforming it into a visual fantasy - allowing the dreamer to satisfy his or her desire. The result of which is a peaceful night's sleep.
This could very well explain why the causes of "wet dreams" are usually never the result of a normal sexual act within a dream.
The following is an extract from dreams people had in the past and recorded as it happened a lot of times:
A man went to bed, the curtains are drawn, the lights are turned off, and attempted to disconnect himself from reality by extinguishing all external stimuli. During the night, the mind protects the sleeper from being disturbed by reacting to further external stimuli (noise, temperature, light, the need to urinate, numb arm/leg, pain etc.) as well as all internal stimuli (emotions, fears, dissatisfaction, desires, previous day's activities) by manufacturing dreams. And it so happened that this dream became so prevalent that it became so easy to recall and to retell to the next generation as its occurence became so frequent.
That: where a man dreams of fishes swimming in the water and happens to capture some of the fishes in his dream, not a week would pass without him receiving some monetary blessings from a relative or a close friend from some distant place. So, in these times of recession we may have that solution to having less nowadays by just plain dreaming of capturing - a lot of fishes. Sweet Dreams!
